The Medical Assistant Diploma Program at Helping Hearts Training Center prepares students for entry-level roles as Medical Assistants in physician offices and medical facilities. This comprehensive program combines classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience to equip students with essential skills to perform administrative and clinical duties. Upon completion, graduates earn a diploma and may be eligible for certification exams in Florida, including the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

Evolve LMS and Sherpath Integration: Our program uses the Evolve Learning Management System (LMS) and Sherpath resources to support a flexible, engaging online learning experience.
Nationally Recognized Certification: Tuition includes the exam fee for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), giving students the opportunity to earn a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential upon program completion.
Educational Objectives

Our program equips students with the knowledge and skills to:

Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance.
Perform clinical duties, such as recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications under a physician's guidance.

Computer Skills and Office Procedures: 90 hours
Anatomy and Physiology: 60 hours
Medical Terminology: 30 hours
Physical Examination & Vital Signs: 60 hours
Microbiology, Infection Control, HIV/AIDS, and OSHA: 30 hours
Electrocardiography: 45 hours
Phlebotomy: 120 hours
Minor Office Surgery: 60 hours
Medication Administration: 60 hours
Urinalysis: 30 hours
Radiology: 30 hours
Specialty Patient Procedures: 90 hours
Law, Ethics, and Pre-Employment Skills: 30 hours
Externship (On-site):

180 hours of supervised hands-on training in a real healthcare setting.
Admission Requirements

Submit a completed application with the fee.
Provide a government-issued photo ID.
Provide proof of high school graduation or equivalent (GED)
Complete a Distance Learning Assessment
 

Graduation Requirements

To graduate, students must:

Complete all courses with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Meet satisfactory academic progress standards.
Fulfill all program and financial requirements.
