Practical Nurse Diploma Program
Practical Nursing (PN) Program Overview:
The Practical Nursing Program at Helping Hearts Training Center offers a rigorous 12-month (1350-hour) curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Through a blend of online coursework, hands-on simulation labs, and real-world clinical experience, students develop a strong foundation in patient care.
Core courses include Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Pharmacology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Mental Health, Pediatrics, Maternal Newborn Care, and Community Health. Each course builds sequentially, emphasizing critical nursing concepts, patient interaction, and ethical practice.
Students engage in practical learning experiences through simulation and clinical placements at healthcare facilities, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a supervised setting. Upon graduation, students will be prepared to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam and enter the workforce as skilled, compassionate, and confident practical nurses.
